The Village Shop and Post Office

The village shop is a useful resource where you can obtain all those little things that you may have left at home. Its products range from groceries and a limited range of fresh fruit and vegetables to all those necessary house-hold things which make a stay in a gite that much easier. For Sunday lunch, roast chicken is available if you don't want to cook for yourself or visit one of the local restaurants. The shop even offers a salon de thé if you fancy a cup in the middle of the afternoon... The shop is on the South-West side of the Place Mathilde and faces the village church. Being a Point-Poste, you can buy stamps and post your letters and postcards.

Other Shopping

In addition to the local shop, food and groceries can be obtained in nearby Pont Authou where there is a traiteur open 7 days a week. Brionne has its branches of Intermarché and Champion both of which will supply all of your needs - including fresh pasteurized milk (in place of the UHT milk normally found in France). Intermarché is open on Sunday mornings (during the Brionne market); Champion is open on Mondays. The supermarkets in Le Neubourg are even larger, and it is here that you will find the closest branch of Le Clerc.
