Le Bec Hellouin

Logo les plus beaux villages

Set in its own valley, Le Bec Hellouin is a famously beautiful village with significant historical importance. The village traces its origins back to the days of William the Conqueror - many of the street names in the village reflect this. Le Bec Hellouin is also renowned for its working Abbey, which is open for tours. The Abbey's shop sells the porcelain made by the monks. The "bec" from which the village takes its name is a tributary of the River Risle; the beautiful river valley is well worth exploring.

The village has recently been awarded the accolade of being "one of the most beautiful villages of France" - truly reflecting the beauty and tranquility of Le Bec Hellouin.
